Lively, brave, excitable, alert, curious, happy and can be stubborn. Loves to bark; excellent watch dog. Rather sharp temperament. Can learn tricks. Must have an owner that can display leadership or he may become too demanding and not listen. May be dog-aggressive. Can be snappish. Very popular; beware of over-breeding producing inferior dogs.

Size:Very small. Height: 7-12 inches (18-30 cm.) Weight: 3-7 pounds (1-3 kg.)

Colors: Usually comes in solid colors. Any solid color is allowed, but the most common are red, orange, white or cream, blue, brown or black. Sometimes the coat is parti-colored (white with colored markings), black & tan, wolf or orange sable.r

Shedding:Constant shedder.

Temperment: Intelligent, eager to learn, very loyal to its handler and family. Willful, bold and sometimes temperamental.

Life Expentancy: About 15 years
