Intelligent, alert, courageous, lively and charming. Full of character. Can be moody and snappish as an adult. Sensitive to harsh treatment. Often a one family dog; unmoved with other people. Extensive grooming needed. Likes to dig and bark. Needs an owner who knows how to display leadership. Slightly difficult to train.
