Bassett Hound

Affectionate, devoted, gentle, naturally well behaved, even tempered, but can be stubborn. Will get fat if it does not have enough exercise. May pick up a scent and wonder off. Ears need regular attention. May snore and howl. Can have a "houndy" odor, but others don't.

Size:Medium. Dogs 12-15 inches (30-38cm) Bitches 11-14 inches (28-36cm) Weight: Dogs 50-65 pounds (23-29kg) Bitches 45-60 pounds (20-27kg)

Colors: Browns, black, & white.

Shedding:Constant Shedder

Temperment:sweet, gentle, devoted, peaceful and naturally well-behaved

Life Expentancy: About 10-12 years.
